In 2023, FARE Lochend Community Allotment were joint winners in the Keep Scotland Beautiful Involving Children and Young People Award, received Certificates of Recognition in the Growing Communities Award and the NatureScot It's Your Neighbourhood Pollinator Friendly Award, and won our 2023 Health and Wellbeing theme public vote.
FARE Community Allotment is a place to meet, grow, cook, craft and socialise. They have 5 nursery schools, 2 primaries & secondary schools who visit weekly to sow, grow and learn about nature. They have various groups involved too, from the young to elderly, growing on one of 28 raised beds and a wellbeing garden.
In 2022, the group were recognised with a Keep Scotland Beautiful 'Beautiful Scotland & It's Your Neighbourhood' discretionary award - joint winner of the Involving Children and Young People Award.
