Coaltown of Wemyss Floral Group

Coaltown of Wemyss has a long history of Beautiful Scotland award winning floral displays. A new organising group formed in 2021 decided to shift emphasis to focus on supporting biodiversity and this is their third year of It's Your Neighbourhood registration.

The group are passionate about participation and have around 30 volunteers involved in tasks that range from raising plants, planting, watering, artworks and maintenance covering 18 sites around the village. This year the group will work with Fife Council's ground maintenance team to create a new pollinator friendly herbaceous perennial bed in an established nature corridor that links the conservation area of the village with the newer estate.
