The group's aim is to enhance the environment through the endeavours of local volunteers. Their ethos is "Let's just do it". Brighter Bothwell has involved local people, businesses, schools, churches and other community groups, local authority staff and others who share its aspirations. They provide colourful floral displays, plant bulbs, organise litter picks as well as general pruning and weeding, and encourage dog owners to pick up poo. Biodiversity is promoted.
