Belville Community Garden Trust

Belville Community Garden is a grassroots organisation within an SIMD1 area of Inverclyde.

BCGT’s activity programme reflects the need and will of local residents. They support community health and wellbeing through outdoor experiences, social activity, food distribution, environmental action, employability support (e.g.).

They are recognised as a community anchor organisation, engaging with around 200 people per week. Currently operations are weekdays with semi-regular weekend activity.

They have focussed capacity development on long-term mental health support for some years. The team has a wealth of training and experience (lived and support) in mental health, trauma and suicide prevention.
