Allander Road Group of Milngavie in Bloom

In 2017, the main group of Milngavie in Bloom thought it would be good to plant daffodils along a slope at the side of the West Highland Way. They notified all residents in nearby Allander Road and asked them to come along and help. The following year, some of the residents got together with MiB to form the Allander Road group. This group transformed the Italian Garden, which was at the heart of this community, from an overgrown mess into a colourful community space. The group has tackled part of the River Allander Walkway with new planting and also other areas within the estate.
