Abernethy in Bloom - Nurse Peattie's Garden and Heritage Garden

The group currently looks after two gardens in the village of Abernethy: 1. Nurse Peattie's Garden, in memory of the local district nurse, which was rejuvenated by the group back in 2015 and which they maintain throughout the year. The group’s annual Xmas Tree Lights Switch-on Event is held here.

2. Their latest project has been a Heritage Garden, newly completed in 2024. This open grassed area of ground has been transformed into a lovely, planted area, complete with seating, audio post, solar lighting and Information Boards showcasing the history of the village and surrounding area.
