Supporting FEE Members Affected by Hurricane Irma

Keep Scotland Beautiful delivers the Eco-Schools and Young Reporters programmes as a member of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). Recently, some of our fellow FEE member organisations have been badly affected by hurricane Irma.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Irma Valerie Peters, the Blue Flag National Operator in the US Virgin Islands, has been left with no house and no belongings at all.

Environmental Protection in the Caribbean (EPIC), the FEE member in Sint Maarten, have also lost a great deal including major damage to the organisation’s facilities.  The office and staff housing were destroyed, with half the roof missing, walls caved in, and all office equipment and furniture a total loss.

If your school or organisation is considering raising funds for people affected by the hurricane, and you are interested in supporting either Valerie or EPIC you can do so here:

For Valerie : https://www.youcaring.com/valeriepeters-953865

For EPIC : https://epicislands.charityproud.org/Donate/?cid=813

Over the next few weeks, we will be raising funds ourselves to support both and will share our efforts with you.
