Eco-Schools Scotland Launches Online Training Course
Our NEW Online training course Becoming An Eco-Schools Coordinator is now available.
This course will give you everything you need to lead Eco-Schools at your establishment. By working through all modules, you’ll practice each of the Seven Elements that form the criteria of the Green Flag Award, and will be well placed to implement them in your context. As this is an online course, you can work through each module at your own pace.
Suitable for all contexts, materials for the course contain case study examples from successful Green Flag schools in every Local Authority and both platforms host discussion groups that we hope will support opportunities for collaboration beyond the course.
"We recognise the commitment that educators make when leading Eco-Schools in their schools across Scotland and we're really excited to be offering training in an online platform to support them. Our sincere thanks to the more than sixty schools who have generously agreed to allow us to use examples from their Green Flag applications in the training materials. Having real life examples from a variety of different contexts really brings the course to life and showcases the adaptability of the Eco-Schools programme which is one of its many strengths". Catriona Rae, Education Support Officer
The course is free of charge, and is available on both Glow and Moodle for maximum accessibility.
More information about our other training opportunities can be found on the Training part of the Eco-Schools Scotland website.
