Eco-Schools Meeting in Cork

Every year, representatives from all Eco-Schools countries gather together to share ideas and experiences and work on developing the programme for everyone.

This year, the Eco-Schools National Operators Meeting (NOM) is hosted by An Taisce in Cork, Ireland.  Delegates from over 67 countries are expected to attend, and participate in workshops on climate change, communication, quality assurance and story telling as well as hearing presentations by pupils from Middleton College Cork, Scoil Colmcille Boys National School, Sundays Well Boys National School and St. Colman’s Boys National School.

2018 marks the 25th Anniversary of the Eco-Schools Programme and the agenda focuses on the themes of ‘Climate, Oceans and Learning’, plus the Sustainable Development Goals and their connection to the programme.

Our Education and Learning Coordinator Anne-Marie Robb is attending, and will be delivering a workshop on climate change education.  A blog of her experience at the NOM will be featured on our website when she returns.

In the meantime, you can follow along with the NOM on Twitter using the hashtags #NOM18 and #EcoSchools25, or on An Taisce's special website for the NOM here: https://nom2018.com
