Zero Waste Scotland workshops in August

We encourage community groups to learn how Zero Waste Scotland campaigns can help them in their work to tackle the climate emergency.

Workshops in Glasgow and Inverness will explain the research that informed these campaigns and new promotional materials and toolkits will be introduced by the teams who developed them.

Campaigns covered will include:

  • Recycle for Scotland – Scotland’s national recycling brand, used across all council collections, recycle on the go facilities and on-pack recycling information. Hear about upcoming activities and how to get involved in Recycle Week.
  • Re-use campaigns – hear the latest from the re-use team at Zero Waste Scotland; including what is coming up and exclusive sneak previews of campaigns and weeks of action until the end of the year.
  • Love Food Hate Waste – Scotland’s pledged to reduce its food waste by 33% by 2025. Hear how to access resources, research and support and play your part in cutting this cause of climate change.
  • Litter Prevention – Hear the theory and see our range of campaign materials covering prevention, flytipping and smoke related litter.
  • Scotland’s Deposit Return Scheme – Find out more about how the scheme will work, its progress through parliament, the benefits it will have, and the communications resources that are available.

The events will take place:

  • Monday 12th August – Glasgow, Strathclyde Union
  • Tuesday 13th August – Inverness, The Eden Court Theatre
