Over 40 nominees for Climate Challenge Fund Awards

The CCF Awards will celebrate the dedication and achievements of projects previously funded by the Scottish Government's Climate Challenge Fund (CCF).

We were delighted to receive high-quality nominations directly from CCF projects and through third party organisations.

At final count, there are 48 nominees across the six categories of Energy, Food, Transport, Waste, Youth Engagement and Outstanding Contribution. A total of 60 nominations have been received, with some CCF projects nominated by multiple third-party organisations. The nominations cover CCF projects in 16 local authority areas.

Booking is open for the CCF Awards Evening which takes place on 12 December at Perth Concert Hall. In addition to the presentation of the Awards, the event will feature a sustainably sourced buffet dinner and drinks and plenty of time to network with the CCF community. We are thrilled to confirm that Heather Reid will be our Guest Speaker. Heather Reid is a physicist and meteorologist, known by many as ‘Heather the Weather’ for her 15 years as BBC Scotland's chief weather forecaster.

We have organised the CCF Awards as part of our management of the CCF on behalf of the Scottish Government. We have managed the CCF since it was established in 2008 and are committed to empowering many more communities across Scotland to take action on climate change. We see this as part of our work to make Scotland clean, green and sustainable.
