HEEPS: Equity loan pilot

Scottish Government loan provides help to homeowners and landlords to improve energy efficiency.

The Home Energy Efficiency Programmes for Scotland (HEEPS) is a suite of Scottish Government funded support to help people in Scotland with their energy costs, save money and keep homes cosier.  HEEPS is delivered by Home Energy Scotland.

As part of this, a new HEEPS scheme has been launched, the HEEPS: equity loan. The HEEPS: equity loan is a Scottish Government loan which provides another option to help homeowners and landlords to improve the energy efficiency of their homes and make certain repairs to the fabric of the building.

During the pilot, the scheme is only available to properties in the Argyll and Bute, Glasgow City and Perth and Kinross local authority areas. Climate Challenge Fund projects providing home energy efficiency advice in these areas should find it useful to communicate information regarding support offered through the scheme to households they work with. You can read more details about the HEEPS: equity loan pilot here.

You can read further information on other HEEPS options here.
