Have your say on climate change targets
The Climate Change Bill increases the levels of Scotland’s targets for reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from 80% by 2050 to 90%. The Bill also includes the possibility of creating a target of a 100% reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (known as a net zero target) in the future and proposes new interim targets ahead of 2050.
The Scottish Parliament want to hear your views on how Scotland will achieve its climate change targets set out in the new Climate Change Bill:
- Via the Scottish Parliament website where you can make a submission by completing and submitting a template form (deadline is 23 August 2018).
- Tweet @SP_ECCLR using the hashtag #myclimatechanges with ideas and views on what actions and behaviour change will be required of individuals and organisations if Scotland is to meet more ambitious climate change targets.
- At the My Climate Changes - Community Engagement Event on 10 September at The Albany Centre, Glasgow from 5:30pm – 8:00pm.
