Film celebrates community-led action on climate change

One of our highlights of 2018 was the Climate Challenge Fund Awards which celebrated community-led action on climate change supported by the Scottish Government's Climate Challenge Fund (CCF).

In addition to the presentation of the Awards the ceremony featured inspiring speakers, locally sourced food and drinks, plus plenty of time for attendees to network and make contacts to help them in their climate action work. We were delighted to have Heather Reid OBE, 'Heather the Weather', as Guest Speaker at the ceremony and hear more about the impacts of climate change, both in the UK and worldwide.

We were pleased to catch up with several of the Award winners and Heather Reid OBE to hear more about why community-led action to tackle climate change is so important.

The CCF Awards were organised by environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful as part of our management of the CCF on behalf of the Scottish Government.

Six CCF projects from across Scotland were presented with a CCF Award at the ceremony which took place in Perth on Wednesday 12 December. Find out more about all the Awards winners here.
