Environmental interns through Bright Green Business

Organisations across Scotland offered services of skilled students and graduates.

The Environmental Placement Programme, run by Bright Green Business, offers organisations the opportunity to take on appropriately skilled students and graduates to work on environmental projects.

Bright Green Business has successfully matched hundreds of organisations with high calibre students and graduates from across Scotland, who are very keen to contribute to a variety of projects within the sustainability sector. These projects have included community engagement, waste management, energy efficiency and behavioural change.

Interns can help at the start of a project, support implementation or get involved at the very end to help complete the project. Current Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) Grant Recipients might find an intern useful to complete a specific part of their project, such as the CCF Final Report. Assignment lengths average eight to twelve weeks, but in many cases Bright Green Business report that interns have been hired by the host organisation as a result of their contribution.

You can learn more about the Environmental Placement Programme, including costs and case studies, on the Bright Green Business website.

Bright Green Business is a not for profit organisation that encourages and supports organisations who want to be more environmentally sustainable.
