Enter the Climate Challenge Fund Awards

Be part of the inaugural Climate Challenge Fund Awards and celebrate the achievements of your CCF project.

The CCF Awards will take place at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh on the evening of Wednesday 1 November.

Although the awards will formally celebrate the achievements of CCF projects running from 1 April 2016 to 31 March 2017, the awards evening is open to all CCF Projects and will also feature an inspiring speaker, a buffet dinner, drinks and plenty of time to network. Tickets to attend the CCF Awards are free and available to book online now.

CCF Projects can nominate themselves* for the awards by completing a nomination form, in which they should explain how their CCF project has met the four criteria of community, carbon reduction, sustainable legacy and climate literacy. Entrants will also be required to complete a short Powerpoint template which will be shown at the awards evening.

The CCF Awards feature the four thematic categories below. A CCF Awards Panel will allocate each entrant into one of the four categories based on their answers in their nomination form.

  • Energy
  • Travel
  • Food
  • Waste

A shortlist of three entrants per category will be selected by a CCF Awards Panel, with the winner of each category announced at the Awards evening. There will also be a 'CCF Awards Panel Choice' of a project that has made an outstanding contribution to local action on climate change through the CCF

CCF Awards nominations are open now and close at 5pm on 6 October 2017.

We have organised the awards as part of our management of the CCF on behalf of the Scottish Government. We have managed the CCF since it was established in 2008 and are committed to empowering many more communities across Scotland to take action on climate change. We see this as part of our work to make Scotland clean, green and more sustainable.

*We are also pleased to accept nominations of CCF projects from third party organisations.
