EBike grant funding from the Energy Saving Trust
The Energy Saving Trust's Scottish Transport team has a variety of funding and support for community-led organisations.
EBike grant funding - The Energy Saving Trust provide grant funding to community groups to set up opportunities for members of the public to trial ebikes/ecargo bikes. There is up to £15,000 available per application and 50% match funding is required. The deadline for applications is 4pm on Friday 17 August. Short-term ebike trials - Home Energy Scotland have a fleet of ebikes available for community groups to organise a trial of ebikes lasting between three days – three weeks to engage with members of the community. To organise an ebike trial, please contact Home Energy Scotland on 0808 808 2282.
Switched on workshops - Home Energy Scotland can deliver workshops to identify the benefits of switching to ultra-low emission vehicles (ULEVs) for community members. An expert transport specialist will deliver a presentation all about ULEVs, including ebikes, followed by a Q&A session. Community members will have the opportunity to test drive some ULEVs, test ride ebikes and find out about the support available for purchasing an electric vehicle. Charge Point funding - The Energy Saving Trust can offer grant funding towards the installation of electric vehicle charge points in the workplace. If your community group has an office or centre, you may be eligible for a grant towards the cost of installing a charge point. This charge point could support your group’s pool electric vehicle, or be publically accessible to your community.
