Development Grants deadline

13 January 2017 to be final deadline for applications

Due to high levels of demand, the final deadline to submit an application for a Climate Challenge Fund Development Grant will be 13 January 2017.

Development Grants of up to £1,500 were re-introduced by the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund in July 2016. The grants have helped organisations develop applications for 2017/18 Climate Challenge Fund funding, plus applications for other grant funders that support climate action projects.  The grants have also supported peer-to-peer learning activities that are building the capacity of community-led organisations to tackle climate change. In total, since their re-introduction in July 2016, Development Grants of £91,890 have been awarded to 65 community-led organisations.

There are still a number of opportunities available through the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund for communities wanting to take local action on climate change. These opportunities include free training and resources through the Community Support Programme and support to facilitate a Climate Conversation in your community.
