Climate Week 2017

Opportunities for communities to become involved in Climate Week

This year Climate Week will be taking place 18-22 September.  Climate Week is a Scottish Government campaign to raise awareness of, and inspire action on, climate change.

The aim of Climate Week is to get organisations across Scotland hosting one – or several – events that highlight the importance of reducing emissions and adapting to a changing climate.

Climate Week presents a great opportunity for CCF groups to engage and inspire staff and the public. Whether you run one event or several, you’ll find out what people think, get some conversation going and enable further climate friendly actions.  It is also an opportunity to build lasting, supportive relationships with local public bodies by inviting them to visit the CCF group and even run joint events.

For further information, resources and to sign up please check the Climate Week website.  You can also use the hashtag #ScotClimateWeek on social media.

Should you have any queries about Climate Week, or want to find out the best contact to speak with at your local authority please do get in touch by calling 01786 477194 or emailing either anna.hunter@keepscotlandbeautiful.org or philippa.cochrane@keepscotlandbeautiful.org
