Climate Challenge Fund project runs free event in Edinburgh

The SCOREscotland Green Futures project is offering the chance to Celebrate a Green Future through a free event on Saturday 10 December.

The event takes place at WHALE Arts Centre (30 Westburn Grove, Edinburgh, EH14 2SA) on Saturday 10 December from 12-4pm. Attendees will get the chance to take part in free activities including:

  • planting their own portable garden to take home
  • home energy efficiency advice
  • getting hands on with unique upcycling and recycling ideas
  • learning about the launch of community cycling solutions
  • watching tasty cooking demonstrations and trying free food
  • trying a human-powered smoothie bike

Learn more about the event through the SCOREscotland Facebook page and register via Eventbrite for your free space.

The SCOREscotland Green Futures project offers help for members of Black and Ethnic Minority communities in West Edinburgh to reduce their carbon emissions through advice on home energy efficiency, sustainable travel and how to grow food at home.

The project was one of 116 across Scotland to be awarded a grant in the latest round of the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund. The Climate Challenge Fund is a Scottish Government grant programme that we manage and administer. We provide support, resources and training to support community groups taking action on climate change.
