Today we take action for our climate
The Scottish Government has declared a Climate Emergency. The world is in climate chaos and it is estimated that there are less than 12 years left to limit the worst impacts of climate change.
We acknowledge this emergency and are fully committed to supporting the call for urgent action.
We admire the passion shown by young people about climate change and support peaceful, local #ClimateStrike action, and those who are following the global call from Greta Thunberg to strike from school. These young people have come together to deliver one of the most naturally evolving movements of this era – a #FridaysforFuture #ClimateStrike.
Our staff will be attending strikes in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Dundee. In addition, there will be a Big Climate Conversation held in-office, feeding into the Scottish Government’s ongoing consultation on climate change. Lunch in the office will be a shared, low-waste One Planet Picnic.

Throughout the day we will be sharing updates across our social media channels. If you are unable to strike in person but would like to show your support, please consider joining the Global Digital Climate Strike.
