Climate Week 2019
Scotland’s annual Climate Week is back and aiming to be bigger and better than ever before. Historically focused on the public sector, Climate Week is an opportunity to celebrate Scotland’s successes to date, and consider the steps we still need to take.
This year, the Scottish Government are encouraging an even wider audience to participate in Climate Week and 2019 will be the first time that events can run for a full week: Monday 7th – Sunday 13th October.
Climate Week is the perfect opportunity to showcase your hard work and connect with a variety of organisations across Scotland. We need action from all sectors of Scottish society to transition to net-zero.
How can you get involved?
There are a variety of ways to get involved in Climate Week but here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Hold a Climate Conversation with your local community and use the hashtag #BigClimateConversation online to let the Scottish Government know that you’re hosting one
- Showcase all the amazing work that you’re doing to tackle climate change online using #ScotClimateWeek
- Host workshops or seminars to educate your community on the work you’re doing, and provide them with valuable new skills
- Engage with local businesses and public sector bodies
Please keep an eye on the @Scotgovclimate Twitter channel where the Scottish Government will be sharing Climate Week materials and news.
We hope that you join us in this celebration of Scotland’s achievements, and look forward to seeing your involvement in Climate Week 2019.
