New Scottish cities partnership formed to help deliver net zero ambitions
We are delighted to be working in partnership with the Scottish Cities Alliance and the Improvement Service to support elected members in Scotland’s cities to deliver a just transition to net zero carbon emissions.
Through the partnership, Carbon Literacy Training will be offered to all elected members in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Perth and Stirling.
The course will empower elected members through practical and relevant training, exploring the science and policy to develop understanding then focusing on solutions and actions. It will also support and encourage peer-to-peer learning across the local authorities.
The training is being provided through a new partnership between the Scottish Cities Alliance and the Improvement Service. The purpose of this partnership is to allow both organisations to collaborate and build capacity within local government to deliver the transformation and improvement needed to tackle climate change.
