Bring the UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow to your community: a webinar

We are delighted to add a further webinar to our Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) webinar series.

The new webinar will be delivered by Stop Climate Chaos Scotland on 27 May and is about bringing the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 26) to your community.

The United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) will take place in Glasgow from 1 – 12 November. It will involve hundreds of events covering almost every conceivable issue related to climate change with excellent contributors from the UK and around the world. Thanks to the wonders of technology and the organisation of civil society groups, you can join many of these events online from your own community, invite local people to join you and help to significantly widen the accessibility of COP to the people of Scotland.

In this webinar we’ll be joined by Dr Kat Jones, COP26 Project Manager at Stop Climate Chaos Scotland, to look at:

  • What kind of events and content will be happening around COP that communities can join online?
  • How to navigate the wide range of events and choose those that will be of most interest to your community.
  • Ideas for organising great community events that combine quality content from Glasgow with local contributions.

The webinar will take place on 27 May 14:00-1500.

Register for the webinar via this link and select 'bringing COP to your community'.

The CCF webinar series is being run aas part of the CCF Capacity Building Programme, funded by the Scottish Government and delivered by Keep Scotland Beautiful. The webinars will be facilitated via Zoom by our Climate Change Team staff and partner organisations.
