Climate Challenge Fund Community communication during coronavirus pandemic
Everyone in the Climate Change Team at Keep Scotland Beautiful hope that you are well.
In the light of the current coronavirus pandemic we anticipate that online communications will become an increasingly important way for the Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) Community to encourage each other and learn from each other.
We’re already hearing lots of inspiring stories such as Bellfield Community Garden distributing leftover supermarket food to vulnerable people who are self-isolating.
Please do share updates on how your project is progressing and how your project, organisation and community is adapting and responding to the coronavirus situation.
Whether you are trying something new, researching an idea or want to know how others are responding - then please reach out to the rest of the CCF community via our various social media channels:
- Scottish Climate Change Community Facebook Group - this is an interactive forum for everyone interested in building low carbon communities in Scotland to learn, share and be inspired. Members include staff from CCF projects past and present as well as other people involved in similar work. We’d love to see representatives from every CCF group here, sharing learning and supporting each other. Request to join the group here.
- CCF Facebook Page - this is where we post news via Facebook that is more CCF-specific. Please do like the page and follow us. Please Tag @ClimateChallengeFund and use #ClimateChallengeFund in your posts to help us share your news too.
- CCF Twitter – this is where we post news via Twitter that is more CCF-specific. Please do follow us. Please tag @CCFScot and use #ClimateChallengeFund in your Tweets and we’ll retweet your news.
We’ll be offering our CCF training via a series of webinars commencing in April. The webinars include advice on how to get your project started with a focus on online ideas, monitoring and reporting for each theme of project and advice on how to submit claims. The webinars are available for booking via the events section of the CCF website.
In the meantime please do keep and eye on our website and social media channels (above) for latest news.
Our Climate Change team staff won’t be working from the office until further notice, so please do contact us by email or mobile phone if you have any queries.
Best wishes from all at the Climate Change Team.
