VOX by Remode. Sustainable Fashion show event.

UWS Students Union building, Storie Street, Paisley.
Saturday 23rd March, doors open 7pm.

This year's show features garments created and modelled by participants in ReMode workshops, alongside clothing created by local professional designer/makers specialising in sustainable fashion.

In addition to the fashion show ReMode will be presenting a series of short animated films created in workshops by volunteers, students from UWS and school pupils from Heriot Primary. The event will also host a clothes swish event. Attendees are invited to bring unwanted items of clothing to swap for items they do want.

ReMode is a social enterprise based in both Paisley and Lochwinnoch. The ReMode project is supported by the Scottish Government's Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) and European Regional Development Fund. The project aims to reduce textile waste through collecting unwanted items at their shop and by offering a programme of hands-on workshops, learning opportunities, swishes and other clothes sharing events. The project is also helping their membership, workshop participants and shop visitors to learn more about the link between textiles, carbon emissions and climate change.

Further information about the event and how to book tickets is available through the flyer and on the ReMode Facebook page.

The CCF grant awarded includes maximum funding of £31,155 from the European Regional Development Fund. The ERDF comes from the European Structural and Investment Fund (ESIF) which helps to facilitate major investments to support transformational change and economic and social structural reforms across Scotland. The Scottish Government is the Managing Authority for the ESIF 2014-20 Programme. For further information visit the website or follow @scotgovESIF
