Silver award for Clydebank HA

We've accredited Clydebank Housing Association with a silver in the National Awards for Environmental Excellence. The award acknowledges the association’s continued commitment to improving environmental quality, and makes it the second in its sector in Scotland to receive the commendation.

The accolade recognises the housing association’s consistent achievements in delivering excellence in environmental quality at seven multi-storie flat developments in the Clydebank area.

Our staff audited Erskine View, Castle View, Lusset View, Lennox View, Cowal View, Leven View and Lomond View and all individually achieved the silver level of accreditation.

The auditors highlighted the excellent internal practices of Clydebank Housing Association, as well as the high level of tenant involvement which had resulted in improved environmental quality.

Waste management practices were also found to be of a high standard at all sites with good levels of cleanliness and well maintained secure areas.

Sharon Keenan, Chief Executive of Clydebank Housing Association, commented: “We are delighted to receive this prestigious award from Keep Scotland Beautiful for our work.  I’d like to thank all CHA staff and committee, the Radnor Park Multis Tenants and Residents’ Association and the tenants and residents of the seven blocks for their continued support and commitment to ensuring the desirability of the flats and making them a great place to live.  This partnership is a winning formula and we look forward to enhancing this in the weeks and months ahead to ultimately improve the environmental quality of the estate further.

Across Scotland, over 100 business locations, from shopping centres, leisure and cultural trusts to train stations and ports, have been audited for a National Award for Environmental Excellence and achieved a Gold, Silver or Bronze accreditation.
