New charity trustees join our Board

We are delighted to announced the appointment of two new charity trustees, following a meeting of the board on 22 May.

The new appointments will add to the strength of the existing Board of Charity Trustees, which is chaired by Lindsay Montgomery CBE.

Graeme Dickson and Stuart McKill, both bring diverse experience which will help to strengthen our skills, experience and diversity - supporting our work to tackle climate change, improve sustainability and environmental quality while increasing our reach throughout Scotland.

Graeme Dickson brings with him a range of experience, having spent time as a geophysicist in the oil industry, an official in HM Treasury and as a senior civil servant in the Scottish Government.

Dickson was the Director General Enterprise, Environment and Innovation in the Scottish Government until May 2016. He then took the opportunity to follow his passion for energy and environment, returning to the University of Edinburgh to study Carbon Management. Dickson has a strong interest in Scotland’s future decarbonisation and the transition to a low-, and zero-, carbon economy and society.

Stuart McKill is an experienced executive leader with an extensive career in the Construction and Building Material supply sector. He has been Managing Director of some of the UK sectors leading brands and has a strong understanding of Sustainable Construction within the Built Environment.

McKill contributes to the Advocacy and Corporate Social Responsibility activities for Saint-Gobain in Scotland and the UK, where he is currently Development Director.

Lindsay Montgomery CBE, Chair of Keep Scotland Beautiful, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Graeme and Stuart to the Keep Scotland Beautiful Board of Charity Trustees. They bring with them a wealth of experience which will help to support our ambitions to develop our work with public bodies, communities and commercial stakeholders to make a real and lasting improvement to Scotland’s environment.

“We look forward to working with Graeme and Stuart and continue to lead the way on improving Scotland’s environment through the charity's work.”
