Forgan’s employees to climb to top of Scotland for us

We are delighted that 15 employees from a well-established family friendly restaurant based in St Andrews are going to climb Ben Nevis on 30 May to raise money to help keep Scotland beautiful.

Forgan’s strives to be a part of the local community and supports local galas and festivals. As a Scottish company, the employees wanted to give back to the wider community.

Michelle Nabal, General Manager said: “The Forgan’s team comprises of front of house, bar, kitchen and management team.  We are really looking forward to strengthening the relationships in the team and working towards a common goal.

“We chose Keep Scotland Beautiful as our chosen charity because as a Scottish company we ensure sustainability is a part of the everyday thinking for all of us. We believe that a sustainable business is key to being a successful business, and would like to raise awareness of good sustainability practices for the future.  Overall the work that Keep Scotland Beautiful does is very important, and therefore we would like to support that.”

Catherine Gee, our Corporate Services Director said, “We’re delighted that the team from Forgan’s Restaurants in St Andrews and Broughty Ferry has selected us as their charity of choice for the Ben Nevis challenge they are taking on at the end of May. As an environmental charity we have a vision of a cleaner, greener, sustainable Scotland, and believe this is shared by the team at Forgan’s which embeds sustainability into everyday business practices. Hopefully the sun will shine on climb day, and the team will get to see Scotland at its most beautiful from its highest point.”

If you wish, you can donate to the team’s fundraising effort, we'll keep you updated on their progress.
