Community and Renewable Energy Scheme is open
The next funding round of the Scottish Government’s Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES) is now open.
CARES grants and loans are available for feasibility, development work and capital costs for local energy projects.
Local ownership and/or community involvement must be at the heart of projects that CARES supports.
CARES funding is open to community organisations, national or regional non-profit organisations with charitable aims and objectives, faith groups, local authorities, housing associations and rural businesses.
Expressions of interest are invited by Wednesday 22 July.
