Aye Cycle website launch party in Glasgow on 14 June
Glasgow community cycling organisations are hosting a launch party to celebrate brand new Glasgow cycling website Aye Cycle, on Friday 14th June.
A collective effort from Glasgow-based cycling organisations, the Aye Cycle website provides up-to-date and easy to find information on cycling in Glasgow. The website includes a directory of organisations, help on getting started in cycling, maintenance tips, events, routes, and rides in and around the city.
A launch party will be held at Bike For Good Glasgow South Community Hub on Friday 14th June from 4 - 6:30pm. The public are invited to join for an afternoon celebrating all things cycling in Glasgow. Cycling activities running at the launch event will be fun, free, and family-friendly. Catering will be provided by social enterprise Kaleyard.
Bike For Good Community Hub Leader Shgufta Anwar says:
“We are thrilled to be hosting the launch party for Aye Cycle at our new Community Hub location. The idea behind Aye Cycle was to pull together the great work of all the community cycling organisations in Glasgow, and make it easier for new and existing cyclists to find out what we all provide. The launch party will bring us all together to celebrate this in person.”
MSP Patrick Harvie and Councillor Anna Richardson will be attending to officially launch the Aye Cycle website, and Glasgow City Council will be presenting prizes to celebrate the top achievers of the May 2019 Cycle Challenge. Following the launch party, everyone is invited to stay on for a viewing of The Bikes of Wrath at 6:30pm.
This is an open invitation to all to attend the launch of Aye Cycle. Join the celebration on Friday 14th June between 4 and 6:30pm at Bike For Good South, 539 Langside Lane / Victoria Road, Glasgow, G42 8BH.
