Result for Scottish Pupil in #YREStaysHome
Winners have been announced for the Foundation for Environmental Education #YREStaysHome competition and we are delighted to announce that an entry from a Troon Primary School pupil has won second place in the Special Category.
Emily Duffy wrote a newspaper called Vortex, full of articles about life under lockdown. In it, she describes some of the advantages of lockdown such as reduced travel leading to reduced air pollution and the clap for the NHS.
Emily's entry was submitted along with entries from ten other countries including Malta, Portugal and Slovakia. She will receive a certificate of recognition from the Foundation for Environmental Education.
Young Reporters is an opportunity for young people to investigate and report on an environmental or sustainability issue which matters to them. Young Reporters is a platform to express opinions and solutions for environmental issues in addition to providing an opportunity to develop journalistic skills.
