Job opportunity – apply to join us as a Training and Accreditation Officer

Do you have the knowledge and experience to help people and organisations across Scotland understand more about the climate emergency and help them take action to combat climate change and other environmental problems?

We have a job vacancy for a Training and Accreditation Officer who will provide professional training services to clients across sectors on a range of subjects, in particular climate change. They will also provide accreditation and audit services across a growing number of sectors.

We have supported almost 3,000 people across Scotland to achieve Carbon Literacy certification through our Climate Emergency Training and have developed, delivered and overseen the training and certification of elected members, employers, educators, community leaders, young people and individuals since 2016. We also offer bespoke courses to make training as relevant as possible for each organisation. You will have experience and a flair for organising, preparing and delivering training to a range of sectors and audiences on environment and climate change subjects. Being certified as Carbon Literate will be a definite advantage. 

In addition, you will have a good knowledge of Scottish environment, climate change, circular economy, litter and waste policies and programmes and strong training and learning facilitation skills along with experience of presenting complex information clearly to a range of audiences.  

The role also includes provision of accreditation and audit services across sectors, such as our National Award for Environmental Excellence® and Green Key which help and support organisations to minimise their impact on the environment so that they play their part in tackling the climate emergency.

The role is based in Stirling, however due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation and in line with current Scottish Government guidance, you will initially be required to work from home.
