Know Your Clothes: Booklet Launch
SHRUB Coop have been working on a Fabric Awareness Booklet so that you can make informed decisions about the fabrics you wear and how to care for them.
SHRUB are an Edinburgh-based co-operative working for a world without waste! To help them launch the booklet, SHRUB are running a Zoom session on 10 March with guest speakers from some of their favourite sustainable fashion organisations.
Guest speakers include Mary Beth from Fashion Revolution, Daisy Snow from Ian Snow and Jessica Howarth from ReMode.
This event will also include a presentation of the booklet from some of their sustainable fashion team and a fun quiz in breakout rooms.
The booklet has been put together as part of SHRUB's Swapping Normal project which is supported by the Scottish Government's Climate Challenge Fund (CCF). The project offers free support to help Edinburgh residents to rethink their relationship with waste. The project aims to run a Swapshop in SHRUB's Zero Waste Hub, plus repair and information events and reuse collections. The project is providing people with an accessible way to change their consumption habits to be more climate conscious.
The event will take place online via Zoom on 10 March from 19:00 - 20:30 where you will regularly be able to take breaks. There will be no pressure to have cameras or microphones turned on. If there are any concerns about accessibility, please email swapshop@shrubcoop.org.
