The accidental climate activist
Lauren MacCallum didn’t set out to be a climate activist.
But her love for the wild Scottish mountains, snowboarding and her local area led her to speak out.
In this new film from Patagonia, Lauren introduces us to some of outdoor community who are seeing firsthand how climate change is impacting Scotland's mountains.
The film also shows how amazing winter in Scotland can be. And why it deserves to be protected. By all of us.
The film is part of a series of climate activist features from Patagonia Action Works. The initiative aims to match people up with organisations taking climate action in their backyards.
Lauren's passion for campaigning on climate action has led her to employment with Protect Our Winters. The organisation aims to inspire and equip UK based outdoor communities to take positive action to address the climate crisis and to accelerate the transition to a carbon neutral society.
