Interfaith Gathering centred on climate emergency
As part of their Living Lighter Project, funded by the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund, The Salisbury Centre will convene an Interfaith Climate Gathering in Edinburgh to begin a conversation about how we can work together toward action on climate change in the face of the climate emergency.
The Salisbury Centre hope the event will provide a space for attendees to share a bit about the relationship between their faith or tradition and our planet and the positive actions that we can bring about together.
There will be some workshop activities to help attendees reflect on why they wish to act as individuals and to define group actions. They'll also be lots of space for creativity with a storytelling session.
The event will start at 10am with tea and coffee, followed by introductions. There will be a vegan lunch, time to learn more about the energy efficient windows in the listed building.
If the weather permits there will be an opportunity to see developments in the garden. The gathering will finish at 4pm.
The Interfaith Climate Gathering will take place on Tuesday 25th February 10am-4pm at the Salisbury Centre, 2 Salisbury Road, Edinburgh, EH16 5AB.
To register your interest in attending, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your full name and if you are connected to any faith background.
