Big Swap event in Edinburgh

Do you have stuff you no longer need, but don't know what to do with it?

Is there stuff you do need, but don't want to buy new?

Do you want to help reduce waste and tackle climate change?

The Big Swap event in Edinburgh on Saturday 15 February could be the answer.

This family-friendly event will bring diverse communities together to swap clothes and other items, helping to create a more circular economy where items are re-used, rather than being thrown away and ending up in landfill.

Everything will be available at no cost including:

• Clothes
• Toys
• Books, CD's & DVD's
• Kitchen utensils

The Big Swap has been organised by a partnership of two projects supported by the Scottish Government's Climate Challenge Fund; Communities for Conservation, run by Edinburgh and Lothians Regional Equality Council and Welcoming a Greener Future, run by The Welcoming Association.

The event will take place on Saturday 15 February from midday until 4pm at St Peters Scottish Episcopal Church, Lutton Place, Newington, EH8 9PE.

All those attending the event are asked to register their attendance.

There is also a Big Swap Facebook event.
