Waste reduction work featured by Highlands and Islands Climate Hub
The Highland Community Waste Partnership (HCWP) was invited by the Highlands and Islands Climate Hub to participate in an online event today, to highlight the aims of the HCWP, introduce each partner and showcase the events and projects they have been working on..
The online event was open to anyone in the Highlands, wishing to find out about how the HCWP is working with communities, businesses and other key stakeholders across the Highlands to reduce waste and consumption.
Senior Development Officer for The Highlands and Islands Climate Club Bethany Lawrie said: “The Highlands & Islands Climate Hub were delighted to host an event to introduce the Highland Community Waste Partnership with Keep Scotland Beautiful. The event highlighted the work ongoing by the eight community organisations across the Highlands in reducing waste on a community level. We have received some enquiries about the partnership so thought it would be a great opportunity to introduce the partnership to our network of contacts.”
The Highlands and Islands Climate Hub support communities to take positive climate action in various ways. Membership is free and can be accessed through their website.
A recording of the event can be viewed on the H&I Climate Hub YouTube channel, here.
