Book now for free Climate Emergency Training in the New Year

Community leaders and youth workers encouraged to register now to take advantage of free Climate Emergency Training opportunities in the New Year.

We are delighted to provide continued Climate Emergency Training in 2021 as part of the Community Climate Leadership Programme funded by the Scottish Government.

We currently have availability for course start dates in January and February. The training has proved extremely popular, so we encourage early registration to secure your space.

Climate Emergency Training for Community Leaders

A four-week online learning course, equivalent to eight hours of learning and aims to give you a working understanding of the Climate Emergency and its implications for communities. The course will also equip you to help your community navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Anyone from a Scottish based community-led organisation that is interested in taking action on climate change is eligible to attend the course, apart from those who have already undertaken Carbon Literacy for Communities training through the Climate Challenge Fund.

Course start dates in January and February are available to book here.

Carbon Literacy for Community Leaders ‘train the trainer’

A three-week online learning course, equivalent to 12 hours of learning course to help equip you with the skills and knowledge to deliver Carbon Literacy training online and face-to-face.

The course is for anyone from a Scottish based community-led organisation who is interested in taking action on climate change. Ideally, you will have previously attended our Climate Emergency Training for Community Leaders online learning course. This, however, is not a prerequisite to attending this course.

Course start dates in January and February are available to book here.

Climate Emergency Training for Youth Workers

An online course to equip Scotland’s youth workers with a working understanding of the climate emergency and provide the skills and tools to nurture and direct young people’s concern into positive practical action.

Although the focus for the training is Youth Workers, it is also open to young people who are leaders and mobilisers. We are delighted to be delivering the course in partnership with YouthLink Scotland.

Course start dates in January are available to book here.
