Free Film Training for Educators
We're looking for educators with an interest in climate action to attend a free training course with an experienced film trainer.
Interest in this training course has been so positive, the number of places available has been doubled.
This film-making training is a four week online programme, equivalent to 12 hours of CPD, and is part of the Youth Climate Film Project, delivered by Keep Scotland Beautiful and funded by Screen Scotland.
Everyone who attends will be equipped with the skills and expertise to help young people create engaging 90 second films on climate change using smartphones or tablets/IPads and simple editing software.
You will be committing to attending four sessions delivered remotely over 4 weeks (with catch up sessions available if needed) and creating a short film on climate change with your pupils. You will need access to a smartphone or tablet/ipad. an IOS or Android smartphone or tablet. However, if you do not have such access and would like to participate, please let us know.
The films created will be shared in a special showcase event Film Festival designed to amplify young people’s voices and views concerning climate change as we approach the critically important COP26 in Glasgow.
Films by young people 11 years and over will also be eligible for submission for the Young Reporters for the Environment competition.
