#TeamKSBScot collect more than 50 bags of litter
28 March 2023
Members of staff, trustees and volunteers - all part of #TeamKSBScot - collected litter as part of Spring Clean today.
The litter picking the area surrounding our office at Stirling’s Castle Business Park 25 volunteers collected more than 50 bags of litter from the area as well as six tyres. Alongside the usual littered items such as food and drink containers, dog foul and disposable vapes there were also some unusual finds along the way including a lawnmower and half a bike.
Heather McLaughlin, Campaigns Coordinator at Keep Scotland Beautiful, said: “We are currently facing a litter emergency in Scotland. By taking small steps and playing our part we can bring the change we want to see.
“Our research shows the decline in local environmental quality across Scotland is a significant public concern and we all have a responsibility to tackle this issue.
“We’ve already had a fantastic response to our Spring Clean Scotland campaign and with more than two weeks to go we hope to do even more.
“The time to act is now. Every action, no matter the size, has a significant impact and I encourage everyone to get involved. By working together we can clean up Scotland.”
Spring Clean runs until 17 April and there is still time to register your litter pick.
