Calling all Young Reporters for the Environment
16 March 2023
We are inviting young people to take part in the environmental journalism programme Young Reporters for the Environment. This programme gives young people the opportunity to share their thoughts on environmental issues they feel strongly about through writing, photography, and videos.
In 2021, Scottish Young Reporter Callum Alexander participated in a panel event at COP26 Green Zone with the Foundation for Environmental Education! His winning 2020-2021 Young Reporters for the Environment entry was an article entitled Global Report, which explores the impacts of climate change and lays out some solutions. Callum has expanded his report into a three-point proposal for legislation he would like to see enacted to mitigate the effects of climate change. The programme offers many opportunities for young people and past entries can be found here for inspiration.
We are a member organisation of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) delivering Young Reporters for the Environment programmes in Scotland.
Deadlines for entries is 1 May.
