Litter Lessons for Pupils
02 February 2022
Just in time for our Spring Clean Scotland campaign supporting Great British Spring Clean, schools across the UK are invited to join us for a morning of lessons on litter and waste with special guests from Scottish SPCA and Auchindrain Historic Township.
We know young people feel strongly about caring for the environment and want to do something about the harmful effects of litter in their communities. In our Live Lesson, we'll learn all about the harmful effects of litter on wildlife, why modern plastics are such a problem when disposed of incorrectly, and how litter dropped on land ends up in the sea.
Join in with your class or Eco-Committee on 21st March for a full morning of workshops, and on 25th March for an assembly to celebrate your work.
We're thrilled to be able to invite schools from across the UK thanks to our Eco-Schools friends in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Lessons are accompanied by a set of classroom activities to do during the workshops and throughout the week. Both sessions will be recorded to watch again later. Future sessions on Biodiversity and Water are planned for later in the school year.
