Free #ScotClimateWeek webinar introducing the climate emergency

10 September 2021

Would you like to know more about the basics of climate change and find out what part you can play to combat it?  Well, as part of #ScotClimateWeek we’re delighted to be hosting a free online webinar on Thursday 16 September from 2-3pm to introduce the Climate Emergency.

With record heat, wildfires and severe flooding being reported across the planet, and a huge international climate change conference coming to Glasgow, climate change seems to be rarely out of the news lately.

This informative webinar will demystify the jargon and explore the basics of climate change - what is causing it, why it is a problem, and importantly, what can be done?

We will also be joined by Cabinet Secretary for Net Zero, Energy and Transport, Michael Matheson who will provide a keynote address before presentations and discussions with our Deputy CEO Catherine Gee, our Climate Change Officer Aoife Hutton and Gerard Howe, Deputy Director COP26 & International Climate Change at the Scottish Government.

This event is being hosted on the Visit Scotland Events air platform and you can register now here.
