Free support to help key workers get about by bike

09 February 2021

Many of us got about by bike during the spring lockdown, but Bike for Good in Glasgow want to help key workers commute by bike during the rest of the year too.

Key workers help our world go round. And their contribution has never been more appreciated than during the Covid-19 pandemic. So Bike for Good are offering a variety of free support to help keyworkers get about by bike.

Commuting by bike can be a great way to enjoy socially distanced travel and has both physical and mental health benefits. And it's a low carbon method of travel that doesn't contribute to climate change or air pollution - so cycling is also good for Glasgow and more widely.

Free support on offer from Bike for Good includes:

  • 1-1 Cycle training
  • Bike & equipment loans
  • Road skills and travel mapping lessons

The first 50 Key Workers that sign up for a session will receive a free puncture repair kit worth £20. And Bike for Good ensure that all the sessions confirm to Covid-19 regulations.

The support provided by Bike for Good is funded by the Scottish Government's Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) and the Smarter Choices Smarter Places Local Authority Fund.
