“Osprey Heights” – a 5 star place to live

Our auditors have assessed the building used in TV programme Still Game and it has scored a five-star rating.

We have been working with staff and tenants at Cube Housing Association, part of the Wheatley Group, to assess the environmental quality of neighbourhoods and make recommendations for improvements.

Recently we assessed Collina Street, the multi-story building used as the fictional tower Osprey Heights in TV show Still Game. The building achieved a five-star rating using our National Award for Environmental Excellence® criteria which looks at car parks, foyers, back courts and landings amongst other things at high-rise flats and tenements.

The achievement recognises the continued commitment of staff and residents in making the site clean and safe and Winston has been visiting to see the residents hear the good news.

Pete Leonard, Operations Director at Keep Scotland Beautiful said: “We know clean, green spaces and living environments have a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of residents and the wider community. We are delighted to award Collina Street multi with the 5 star National Award for Environmental Excellence, highlighting the great work done by the staff at Cube Housing Association, The Wheatley Group and the residents of Collina Street itself."

We have audited over 300 properties made up of multi-storey flats and tenements for the National Award for Environmental Excellence ®. We are working with several Housing Associations delivering the award which provides a standard to assess and benchmark environmental performance and achievements and helps make comparisons between each local housing area. We also audit business locations in a variety of sectors, from shopping centres to train stations. Find out more about the National Award for Environmental Excellence®.
