Cook, Grow, Sew and Change to ‘Thread it up’
The Cook, Grow, Sew and Change project will be running a fashion show featuring upcycled clothes on 17 March at Napiershall Street Centre, Glasgow.
The Cook, Grow, Sew and Change project is working with ethnic minority communities in Glasgow, North Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire to raise awareness of climate change and how to effectively reduce carbon emissions. The project is run by the West of Scotland Regional Equality Council and supported by a grant from the Scottish Government's Climate Challenge Fund. Project activities are based around energy efficiency, low carbon food and zero waste textiles. The project has also undertaken awareness raising activities to encourage people from all ages to take the lower carbon route as part of their daily lifestyles.
We encourage community groups, including those running Climate Challenge Fund projects, to get involved with Pass it on Week and register events at www.passitonweek.com
