Climate Challenge Fund features in Climate Change Plan

Scottish Government's Climate Change Plan published on 28 February.

The Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) is featured in the Scottish Government's Climate Change Plan which was published on 28 February 2018.

The CCF is introduced in pages 36 and 37 of the Plan. The wide-ranging positive benefits of the CCF are recognised, in addition to the core aim of the Fund to help tackle climate change. The CCF funded activity of the Swap and Reuse Hub (SHRUB) in Edinburgh also gets a mention on page 161, as does their win in the Waste Category at the inaugural CCF Awards.

About the Climate Change Plan

The Climate Change Plan sits alongside the Scottish Government’s Energy Strategy and provides the strategic framework for the transition to a low carbon Scotland for the period 2018-2032.

The Plan includes policies and proposals to reduce emissions from electricity generation, buildings (both residential and non-residential), transport, industry, land use (forestry and peatlands), waste, and agriculture.
