New Look SSN Website
Much of the original content is still available but in a new look with more direct links to the pages we know that people are looking for. We would encourage you to have a look at the new pages and do get in touch to let us know what you think. The main sections include:
The following can be found in this section: information about the 2015/16 climate change report process; resources to support the writing of climate change reports; copies of submitted reports (currently just 2014/15 but 2015/16 reports will be added in February 2017); information about the 2016/17 reporting process; information about Scotland’s Climate Change Declaration
This section contains information about ISM, the Scottish Government’s preferred method for understanding and addressing barriers to behaviour change, the policy context and origins of ISM, examples of ISM in use and a new interactive ISM framework which explains each of the factors, and gives examples of them in use.
This section pulls together a range of SSN resources including:
- Our Area-Wide Emissions briefing notes and videos covering the main national and local emissions datasets and carbon accounting methodologies;
- Our Sustainable Timber Procurement Toolkit, which was produced to support the 2011-2013 ‘What Wood You Choose’ campaign collaboration between SSN and WWF.
- Information and links about funding for climate change activities.
- A refreshed copy of the Public Bodies Climate Change Duties E-learning module. This e-learning module is designed to help all public sector employees gain a better understanding of their roles and responsibilities in action on climate change, particularly in relation to the Public Bodies Duties in the Climate Change (Scotland) Act. The course goes through an introduction to climate change science, the international agreements and action on climate change and the Scottish Government’s commitments, before going into further detail about the type of action that could be taken by public bodies and their employees.
