Fantastic support from MSPs for roadside litter campaign

Our recently launched roadside litter campaign enjoyed fantastic cross party support today as almost a third of MSPs joined our litter characters to commit to giving their litter a lift!

Our roadside litter campaign characters, Wido and Wee Stubby, were outside the Scottish Parliament on Thursday 21 December to encourage MSPs to back our recently launched roadside litter campaign.

Posing for photographs, 43 MSPs, showed their support and promised to support the campaign.

With investment from industry and working in partnership with, Transport Scotland, Zero Waste Scotland, VisitScotland, road operating companies and local authorities, the campaign urges road users to take personal responsibility for their litter, encouraging them to give their litter a lift, and take it home.

Derek Robertson our Chief Executive said, "We are absolutely delighted to have seen such positive support from MSPs today.  This highlights the importance of the issue of roadside litter to them and the people they represent. We look forward to working with them as the campaign develops over the next two years."

This campaign brings together the public, private and community sector to tackle roadside litter.
